Professor Colin MacLeod awarded an honorary doctorate from Babeș-Bolyai University

We are happy to announce that Professor Colin MacLeod of the University of Western Australia, one of the STAR keynote speakers, will be awarded an honorary doctorate from Babeș-Bolyai University for “pioneering discoveries concerning the cognitive mechanisms of emotional disorders and important contributions to the development of psychology at Babeș-Bolyai University”.

The ceremony including the address of Professor Colin MacLeod will be on July 3rd, 11 AM in the grand hall (Aula Magna) on the second floor of the main building of Babeș-Bolyai University.

This conference provides the opportunity for scholars from around the world to come together and exchange research findings, share professional experiences, strengthen current networks and build new ones. Your participation and scientific contribution can broaden and deepen our understanding of stress, anxiety, and related issues.

The multicultural Cluj-Napoca is the treasure city of Transylvania. Known since the Middle Ages for its diversity and intellectual effervescence, Cluj-Napoca offers the perfect setting for the 35thSTAR Conference.

The Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR) is a multi-disciplinary, international organization of scholars who share an interest in the research areas of stress, coping, and anxiety. Its members, hailing from more than 35 countries, meet annually to exchange research findings and clinical applications on a wide range of stress and anxiety related phenomena.

STAR conferences provide a unique opportunity to learn not only about stress and anxiety, but also how psychology is studied and practiced throughout the world. STAR has been exceedingly active in providing an opportunity to disseminate research and clinical findings in an international forum.

STAR conferences are very collegial and provide many opportunities for discussion, exchange of ideas, and professional and interpersonal networking. Every year STAR conferences attract many of the most world-renowned researchers in the field of stress, coping, and anxiety.
